Friend of the Pom. And a rare nighttime shot. 💖 I got this felt ball garland for the windows in my dining room for the holidays and only remembered after that the curtains are edged in pom-poms too. What I’m saying is I love them so much sometimes I double up without meaning to. 🤗 [Sources] Curtains: Pom Tassel Curtain from @Anthropologie (currently on sale!), Garland: Rainbow Felt Ball Garland from Land of Nod, Curtain Hardware: IKEA. Hi. This is an appreciation post for my shower. 💘⁣ Swipe to see the ceiling and the floor too. ⁣ Remodeled from a tiny, narrow stall in 2016. It’s 6x3ft (made from two small closets) and goes the full 8ft height to the ceiling. I really looooove the beveled subway tile and black fixtures, which allow both shower heads—the handheld, height adjustable one on the wall and the rainfall one above—to be on at once or individually. The shower base is cast iron, which is great because it’s not rough on my feet like some grout lines can be and it’s sturdy so no plastic-y feel like lots of budget bathtubs and shower stalls these days. And don't be afraid of black tile! Ours is 2" matte hex and we love it.⁣ This was the first big remodel involving plumbing that we did and, while it definitely gave me anxiety dreams at the time as I tried to figure out how to be my own contractor, thankfully we love it. ⁣ ⁣ We’re starting the hallway bathroom soon, so this one has been on my mind as I decide what to do with the next one. I think it'll be black and white too, but with one other color playing a fairly big role. (I've ordered two things so far! Starting in the new year!)⁣ ⁣ [Sources] Black Fixtures: Moen, Shower base: Kohler, 2" Black Matte Hex Tile: Tile Shop, Beveled Subway Tile: Home Depot, Ceiling Hex Tile: Home Depot I visited Horseshoe Bend in October during a weeklong road trip around Utah and Arizona. That’s the Colorado River. And it was even more spectacular in person than I expected. The little square here doesn’t do it justice. Fall at the Arboretum is really beautiful. Can’t wait to go see it in the winter soon with all the Christmas lights up too! Spending the evening in my cozy robe by the Christmas tree with hot cocoa and DUMPLIN’ on Netflix. @andimjulie wrote a great book and they turned it into a lovely movie. @dollyparton’s music perfects the atmosphere and the cast is fantastic. So many feelings. Highly recommend! I’m loving these little ceramic houses from Target’s Dollar Spot. I added LED tea lights that pop on each evening at the same time. Three of these plus the Christmas tree and a few other LED candles and my living room is so cozy. 😍 Remembering my very first lattice. (This is a salted caramel apple pie and it was very delicious.) I practiced making pies for a week in August. I made five in seven days. Why? Because repetition in a short period of time works! I made a Chicken Pot Pie with double crust last week and it was no problem. (So easy! Because skillz!) Pie Week was inspired by Biscuit Weekend, in which we made homemade biscuits four times in one weekend to get good at them. (Can do them from memory now. And regularly do!)
